Onboarding Manager
About Mutinex
At Mutinex, We're an early-stage B2B SaaS company with a proven platform, trusted by big-name clients, and already generating millions in revenue. Our mission is bold: to build a universal business growth decision engine. Our platform empowers marketing, media, agency, analytics, and finance teams to organize, analyze, and action data at scale — unlocking and optimizing the true drivers of sustainable growth.
We're a hybrid team spread across Sydney, Melbourne, and New York. We value open communication, diverse perspectives, and a culture of continuous learning and feedback.
The Role
Every Enterprise customer relationship begins with the same challenge: getting their data into our platform cleanly, securely, and reliably. That means working across the customer's marketing, finance, and data teams — each with its own systems and priorities — to bring scattered data together. How well we do that shapes everything downstream — how fast customers see value, how much our data scientists can do with what they receive, and how much trust we earn in the first ninety days.
We're looking for an Onboarding Manager to own that journey end to end.
This role sits at the intersection of people, process, product, and data. You'll run the onboarding and integration lifecycle for new Enterprise customers — defining scope and timelines, coordinating across product, engineering, data science, and customer success, and staying close enough to the technical detail to be genuinely useful in a room full of the customer's marketers and data engineers. You'll then close the loop, turning what you learn on each onboarding into a faster, smoother one next time.
You might come from technical project or program management, solutions consulting, data operations, or customer-facing analytics. What matters most is your ability to bring structure to ambiguity, hold a cross-functional group accountable, and move fluently between business context and technical reality.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the onboarding plan. Lead end-to-end delivery of Enterprise customer onboarding and product integrations, from kickoff through to go-live. Define scope, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements — then hold the team accountable to them.
Drive momentum. Motivate customers to prioritise onboarding against their other commitments and move at pace, while making the experience genuinely great to be part of — so speed comes from enthusiasm, not chasing.
Build a real understanding of the customer's world. Bring empathy and curiosity to Enterprise customer conversations. Take the time to understand their business context, data landscape, stakeholder needs, and security considerations before recommending how to connect their data to Mutinex.
Work hands-on with customer data and IT teams. Gather requirements, ask sharp questions, clarify ambiguity, and keep setup moving. Help customers move from manual data sharing to reliable, repeatable data flows.
Be the connective tissue. Act as the central hub between product, engineering, data science, customer success, and external partners. Translate technical detail for business stakeholders and business context for technical teams. Partner with our data scientists to understand what our modelling engine needs to deliver insights that transform marketing practices, and turn that into clear, specific customer requests.
Manage risk and dependencies. Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers across each onboarding. Develop mitigation plans and escalate early when timelines are genuinely at risk.
Report with clarity. Maintain consistent reporting for internal leadership and external partners — status updates, onboarding dashboards, and readiness reports that give everyone visibility and confidence without drowning them in detail.
Closing the Loop
A distinctive part of this role is making sure each onboarding improves the next one. That means structured reflection, not just delivery.
Run onboarding retrospectives. Facilitate lookback sessions after each major onboarding or integration, bringing together product, engineering, data science, and customer success to review what worked, what didn't, and why.
Measure what matters. Define and track post-go-live metrics — time-to-value, adoption, data quality and reliability, customer satisfaction — to assess whether onboarding is delivering the outcomes we intended.
Feed insight back into product and process. Capture decisions, challenges, and customer feedback in a form people will actually use. Partner with Product to translate findings into prioritised improvements, reduce time-to-live, and build onboarding processes that scale with our growth.
What We're Looking For
There's no perfect candidate. If you meet some of the criteria below and are excited about the role, we strongly encourage you to apply.
Proven delivery experience in SaaS, technology, or data integration environments — around 5+ years, with a track record of building a plan, running it, and landing it.
Strong stakeholder management. Comfortable managing relationships internally and externally, knowing when to push, when to escalate, and how to hold people accountable diplomatically. Just as importantly, you can motivate people who don't report to you, at the customer and internally, to prioritise the work, commit, and move at pace.
Genuine technical fluency with data. comfort working directly with data. Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data ingestion patterns, or pipeline tooling is a significant advantage. You don't need to build the pipeline, but you do need to hold a credible conversation with the people who will.
Clear, direct communication. Able to explain technical concepts to business audiences and business constraints to engineers, without losing precision in either direction.
Real curiosity about the customer's world. You take the time to understand a customer's business, priorities, and constraints, and you bring genuine empathy to those conversations — because a great onboarding experience starts with understanding the people on the other side of it.
A curious, methodical approach to problem solving. When something breaks, you dig in, test assumptions, and work back to the root cause rather than passing it along.
A process-builder's instinct, backed by data. You don't just run the play in front of you — you notice what's repeatable, document it, and leave things more systematic than you found them. You use data to track progress, measure what's working, and make the case for leadership change.
An analytical, data-driven mindset. You use data to track progress, measure success, and make decisions, and you're comfortable presenting that to leadership.
Comfort with ambiguity and pace. You don't wait for perfect information to start moving — you're pragmatic, resourceful, and focused on progress.
A growth mindset and openness to feedback. The environment moves fast and things change. You adapt, learn, and bring others along with you.
We believe skills can be developed — so if you bring a unique perspective and a genuine desire to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
What Success Looks Like
Customers feel supported through onboarding and understand what they need to provide, why it matters, and how it will be handled.
Onboardings land on time and to scope, and time-to-value trends down over the course of your first year.
Our data scientists receive clear, usable, fit-for-purpose data inputs and can rely on you to resolve gaps and questions.
When something breaks or changes, you investigate calmly, communicate clearly, and pull in the right people to get it fixed.
Onboarding stops being bespoke. The process becomes documented, repeatable, and increasingly self-evident to everyone who touches it.
